The old man collapsed as he hit the shore,

hoped that his desperate search had found its conclusion,
at least for now.

With sheer joy and excitement he took that first step,
Having been alone at sea for days,
Or was it weeks,
Perhaps months,
He couldn’t be sure as days melted together,
As iron in a smelter.

But he knew he was free of that little boat,
The one he loved for guiding him safely to shore,
It wasn’t until step three he realized there was a problem,
Sinking right before his eyes,
One grain of sand at a time,
Until he could no longer move,
Stuck once more,
Captive of the oceans fury,
Just out of reach of the oars that could free him.

I wanted to give you all a NaNoWriMo update as November is now behind us.

I was unable for a myriad of reasons to complete the fifty thousand word challenge. Due to the nature of the material I found that it was taking a great personal toll on me both physically and mentally. I would stop and start. Stop and start. I had days that I wrote sixteen thousand words that I would erase because I didn’t believe that I was being as honest as is needed for the work that it is going to be. That being said I did allow myself the luxury of almost forty thousand words, which I see as a good start.

So Hemingway & Me continues. One painful memory at a time.

November is the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and I have been going back and forth deciding whether or not I will “win” again this year. This month of ‘literary abandon’ gives people from all over the world the motivation write that novel they’ve always been speaking about. Paper to pen, feet to the road and nose to the grindstone. 30 days. 30 nights. 50,000 words and you too will ‘win.’

Having been in editing purgatory for the past six months my urge to create is SO massive that again I find myself saying WHY NOT? I have decided that I will participate and write my 3rd NaNoWriMo novel.

It is to be a semi autobiographical look at my experiences from the age of twelve – thirteen until today. Together we will journey with The Lost Generation and the other voices in my head through issues related to mental health, self medication and well being as well as the search for genuine self.

These past few months have been exciting times indeed. At the behest of Ernest I am currently editing my vast catalogue for publication. As such I have spent much of the summer and now into Autumn editing over 5000 poems and a number of other projects. At this stage I am trying to decide which I would like to publish first. So I ask you;

Should I publish the Hemingway & Me series first or a mishmash anthology of work covering more than fifteen years? I value your opinion and would love to know as we are still looking at first publishing in the not too distant future. Please let me know what you think.

I asked myself;
Before I started writing,
How far is too far?

The answer I came up with,
Was if I didn’t write this,
I had become just as guilty as those who are the perpetrators,
It was Edmund Burke who once said;
“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”
I may not be able to stop this madness,
But I can stand up and let it be known,
That true evil is at work in the world,
And I can not stand by,
And do nothing.

There is a shadow government at work in the United States,
And around the world,
Its reach is truly global in nature,
Its goal,
World domination,
Control of the entire globe,
So powerful is this group that they even publish their intent,
Openly,
The Neo Conservatives,
And their lackeys at the Project for the New American Century,
Companies run by former rulers world wide like the Carlyle Group,
Have as their aims and objectives,
To engross the American Military Complex,
the corporatocracy,
Fatten the pockets of the rich to make them richer
And to ensure that America take advantage,
Of its current position as the sole military power,
For as long as possible taking advantage while they can,
Because just like Pax Romana, Pax Britannica,
Pax Americana will fall, the question is when?

This shadow government has at its head,
Men with names like Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle,
And oh yes Bush,
They needed a modern Pearl Harbor,
And even said so, in a written document,
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have nothing to do with 9/11,
Or terrorism,
And everything to do with the projection of power,
Designed to demonstrate to the world,
And those who would oppose them,
What they can expect.
Don’t believe me,
Check it out for yourself,
I am just here to make you think,
If you choose to open your eyes,
Then you will SEE!

When Buckminster Fuller wrote;
The Critical Path,
He warned in the Preface,
That Afghanistan, in 20 years, would be the most important,
Nation in the world,
And he was right,
Unocal’s man in Kabul,
Hamid Karzai,
America’s choice,
To ensure that the necessary pipelines,
Would be a lifeline to China and Japan,
NATURAL GAS,
Bucky was right,
Almost to the day,
If you were to look at a map,
Of American Military Installations,
Real projections of power and protection,
The most significant and important bases,
In Afghanistan,
Are all within striking distance,
Of the pipelines.

Naturally, the Neo Cons and the PNAC cronies’,
Knew that they needed a catalyst,
9/11 was the perfect candidate,
They had a boogey man to blame it on,
Osama,
Though history,
If ever shown truthfully,
Will reveal that the masters of its design,
Were far closer to home,
Private Contractors like Blackwater,
Popping up like weeds watered by crisp Americans dollars,
That poof,
Vanished into thin air,
Perpetrating deaths against Iraqi’s and Afghani’s,
And if you are not careful,
Soon,
You too,
Eisenhower knew it and he warned against it,
Hell,
Lincoln knew it,
And at the height of the civil war warned of the shadow government,
But just who is this shadow government?

The question deserves an answer,
And as is always the case,
Follow the money,
Who put Bush in the White House?
Which really means who wanted Cheney, Perle, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz,
Bush was just a puppet,
And they held his strings,
The money trail, as plain as the trillion that has disappeared,
Into the pockets of,
Exxon,
Halliburton,
Kellogg Brown and Root,
Burning Beds,
Destroying brand new equipment,
So they could benefit from Cost plus,
Don’t believe me,
Check the GAO reports.

The list is long,
And so are the political contributions,
The same companies and shadows that benefit from death and destruction,
Double dip,
And benefit from the paradox,
They destroy and then claim to rebuild,
Of course,
Ask an Iraqi what has be rebuilt and they will laugh in your face,
Ask an Iraqi what happened to their rich cultural history and relics,
And they will cry,
As America and England,
As they have in the past,
Robbed Iraq blind,
Trying to erase,
A future generations hope,
By removing any connection to its past,
Ancient sites,
Destroyed with extreme malice and intent,
Relics stolen and placed in the Smithsonian and the British Museum,
The rest,
Sold off,
Like a fire sale to rich collectors around the world,
Without any regard to the Iraqi rights to their own history.

There is a shadow government my friends,
And it has as its goal,
One world government,
To control all of us,
And they have drawn a line in the sand,
These sharks,
Who are demonstrating?
Daily,
What they will do to all of us,
If we don’t stop them;
How you ask?

By standing up!
By being counted!
By demanding that your government answer to you,
And not these shadows,
It is government by and for the people,
Not buy and for the corporations.

STAND UP,
Before it is too late,
The revolution will be televised,
As the expression goes,
Only this revolution is manufacturing dissent,
And obedience,
One day at a time.

An Open Letter to Politicians the World Over

We the people are frustrated by your lack of empathy and your failure to protect us in our time of need.

We the people who are the source of and legitimization of your power are sick and tired of you usurping our desires and ramming down our throats policies that do not reflect, in any way, our desire to pursue, freely, as guaranteed by our various constitutional documents, some variant of life, liberty or peace, order and GOOD GOVERNMENT and paid in full with the blood of countless patriots on too many battlefields to count.

We the people are angry that our votes are not counted, or worse changed, to allow you, as puppets, the ability to serve your corporate masters… Corporations may pay taxes, despite your best efforts to limit their payments, but corporations are not citizens, and the modern corporation is contrary to everything that is right and just in our societies. When the ruling came down that enabled corporations to have all the rights of citizens without ANY of the responsibilities that again were forged in the blood of true patriots that came long before I, you failed us, completely. And yet, you can correct that shameful mistake just as easily as you can eat on your bone china and prorogue at will.

We the people, the world over, demand, first peacefully and eventually by force if necessary, that without delay you begin to explore the grievances of the working man upon whose back you give away incentives and cash to corporations and wake up to the coming reality that the people scorned can and will not stand for the tyranny inflicted upon us through our slave wages and ever rising costs that force us to make decisions between feeding our families OR paying our mortgage. We further ask, given the same choice, what would you choose?

We the people seek the equal human rights of all our people, regardless of gender, religion or age. We the people seek the recognition that there is only one race and it is one that binds us, the human race. And in recognizing such we further demand that without delay, you, our elected leaders, begin to work with governments the world over to find an immediate and lasting peaceful resolution to all disputes so that we can address the environmental holocaust that will befall our children.

We the people demand that all policies, which are not conducive to the improvement of the human condition and the planet earth, be eradicated. Further that there be equal access and distribution of all necessities of life including, food, shelter and water.

We further seek the immediate implementation of universal education enabling a future that is filled with promise and hope, not to mention solutions to many of the issues that need to be addressed if our species is to continue to thrive.

Dear Leaders, we the people first ask and if necessary, in due time, we will rise up and ensure that our voices are heard. That our anger will reveal to you the tenuous and fragile nature of the positions you hold. We require you to stop these petty squabbles and the politics of lies, deceit and muck racking. We demand that you realize that we will not be sidelined, that we are seeking redress AND we will get it one way or the other.

We acknowledge the various issues and challenges that stand before you in doing this and offer up all assistance you need. But we will not wait long, we will no longer accept the status quo as we know that if our children are to survive, we can not be quieted, we can not be quelled, we must rise up as ONE PEOPLE, UNITED and indivisible in our cause of righting the wrongs of the past, the sins of our fathers, beginning today the drive to a better tomorrow.

We, as in Windyrock Publishing, have gone from zero to eighty in no time flat. All major car companies around the world contacted us asking how we could accomplish such a feat. Our response without equivocation has been that this is the power of the word to move people.

In all seriousness, we have been researching, buying domains, writing all necessary documentation, book formats, typesetting, pricing, etc. We hope that you understand these things take time. For the first anthology I have narrowed down the selections from 2100 poems, the number written since last April to a little less than 175. I have been working feverishly to edit them so that they represent the best possible writing that I am capable of. In endeavours such as this you only get one chance to get it right and that is exactly what we are doing.

I thank each and every one of you for believing in me as you have and for pushing me on to finally become who and what I am meant to be.

I hope you all are well and surrounded by love and light. For those who do, Happy Easter, for those who don’t celebrate life as from what I hear death is rather permanent.

OK Ernest, I have and I am.

Loyal readers, friends and fans, I’d like to thank you for your reading, support and encouragement over the past eleven months. The last year has been one of the most difficult and significant of my life.

Pushing through I have written over two million words, almost twenty one hundred poems as well as novels, plays and films. Now the time has come to make sense of it all. Editing, more editing and editing still so that we, Windyrock Publishing, can produce my first collection of poetry. Also exciting is that once we develop the first few collections we will be actively seeking writers to join the Windyrock family.
